Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Is carpal tunnel making it hard for you to perform simple daily tasks?

Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on the median nerve that runs the length of your arm and goes through a passage in your wrist called the carpal tunnel. The median nerve controls the movement of all of your fingers (except the pinky) as well as the feeling of your thumb. Carpal tunnel syndrome often causes tingling, numbness, and weakness in your hand and is often caused by repetitive motions like typing or arthritis, diabetes, and even pregnancy.

Physical therapy has been shown to help reduce the discomfort and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome without surgery and significantly improve hand strength and function when part of a post-surgical recovery plan.
